Huge congratulations to MSU MGI and Human Bio graduating senior Valadian Pallett! She was awarded the President's Award at this year's Spartan Academic Excellence Gala where she spoke confidently to the crowd of around 600 people.

Congratulations to MGI's newest graduate, Dr. Hunter North! On Friday, she defended her dissertation research, "Bridging nitrogen assimilation and cell cycle control in Caulobacter," which she did in the Crosson Lab.

MGI doctoral student Alex Wessel of the Waters Lab has published new research in the ASM Journal of Bacteriology demonstrating that certain strains of cholera do not grow on TCBS agar, the go-to medium for diagnosis. Read more here: tinyurl.com/2vsx2df8
