🚨Sky is funding hate on GB News🚨 Sky is a major advertiser on GB News. This is the same company that proudly declares themselves an ally of the LGBTQ+ community. Tell Sky's CEO: stop funding GB News' hate speech NOW 👇 action.goodlawproject.org/sky-stop-fun...

I wrote about random acts of kindness, how we need more of them, why ppl don't perform them enough (embarrassment) and why they're good for us all @theipaper.com inews.co.uk/inews-lifest... #randomactsofkindessday

The ease with which organisations have discarded accessibility, sustainability and diversity work shows how little they were embedded into them. The superficiality of tools and frameworks.

Such a good description of UK Labour...

We're parted from our money, ourselves, each other and our planet on a daily basis by doing things for 'convenience'. Anyone else noticing this and does it make you feel uneasy? Eva Wiseman describes it eloquently

This Byline Times story on Farage pictured with far-right activists has not been picked up by any established media outlet - including liberal/democratic/left publications. Why? Because people like being comfortable in their own power and status. The newspaper I edit will keep sounding the alarm.

A reminder this Sexual Abuse & Sexual Violence Awareness Week that consent is always freely given, you have the right to change your mind at any point, and it is informed. (1/2)

Who'd have thought transphobes would end up supporting Trump, who is well known for defending women's rights? I, for one, am shocked that those seeking to remove the rights and humanity of a community could support the epitome of white patriarchy

“I suffered, and so should you” Is a horrible way to think that literally helps nobody.

Amen. One in six adults in the UK have poor or no reading skills. Bizarre & ignorant comment from the OP.

This by Dan Savage is I think important to keep top of mind. It speaks to the point I made earlier that bad news is never the only news.

Instead of backing investment in polluting infrastructure in London and the South-East, Labour needs to give mayors and devolved nations the infrastructure budgets and powers to kick-start growth across the whole of the UK. My @inews.co.uk column this week inews.co.uk/opinion/once...

In 2014 Dutch scientists left a hamster wheel outside, to see if wild animals would use it like their domesticated counterparts. The answer: hell yes! 734 visits from wild mice - plus rats, shrews, slugs ("running" being subjective here) & even frogs and snails. The apparent reason: fun. Just fun.

Every time I see the Brewdog Man it is a jump scare

The Prince Charles - a West End institution - is under threat. Support them, unless you want to see another fucking M&M superstore where this beautiful cinema is. you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/sa...

Look, we tried to warn people. At this point, the only way out is through. Trump will precipitate a collapse and only then can we rebuild towards a better future. Our goal is to minimize the number of people we lose along the way. Build community, help others. Resilience is all we have.

If there are any other writing residencies aimed at over 60s, I haven't seen them. This is such a great step in the right direction. And for working-class folks! Yes✊️

THINKING TOO MUCH CAN ONLY CAUSE PROBLEMS

we never should’ve given power to the nerds. the jocks shouldn’t have it either. we must usher in the age of the goths

I went to the library yesterday. Libraries are centers of revolution. Visit and support yours.

One in six adults in the UK have poor or no reading skills. For @inews.co.uk, I spoke with three people who told me about their experience learning to read as adults with the excellent (and free!) charity @readeasynnt.bsky.social inews.co.uk/inews-lifest...

Vile. Also - Southport is in Merseyside, not Lancashire. Employ some people from outside the M25, I double dare ya

alright you wanna know how to support trans people? hire them. It's REALLY hard already for visibly trans people to get jobs, even before this shit. Support places that have trans people working front of house, and make sure owners know that's part of why you're there.

FEAR IS THE GREATEST INCAPACITATOR

Wahh! Wahh! Dear Leader was AMBUSHED by a bishop pleading with him to show compassion! After going to church to attend the bishop's service at which the priest usually gives some sort of sermon! Being implored not to oppress and kill people by a faith leader at their place of worship is an ATTACK!

Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde to Trump: "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender people in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives ... and the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals"

Incredible scenes!

I'VE ENTERED MY SNOOKER ERA, LADS www.independent.co.uk/voices/snook... #masters #snooker

[smiling pleasantly] I think if you do this you should be hanged

Absolutely incredible scenes at the opening session of the 2025 #Masters. Higgins is indisputably sharp, but that was a blinding performance by Neil Robertson. More of this #snooker

New: Meta employees are furious about a new policy that allows users to call LGBTQ+ people "mentally ill." Some have resigned in protest. Some LGBTQ+ employees have started saying they if they are 'mentally ill' they should get leave of absences from work www.404media.co/its-total-ch...

Next up, Meta allowing people to call Black folks property. www.independent.co.uk/tech/faceboo...

"Clubs are more than just spaces for entertainment. And even then, more than spaces for transcendence, or spiritual things or sexual things – they’re about making friends and finding people that share your values, but also being around people who are different to you." ❤️

It means accepting the reality that nobody has more information about me than me, nobody cares about what’s happening inside me more than me, and I am my own. I love myself because I’m the best possible person to have on my side.

I’m no fancy headline writer for The NY Times, but I’m pretty sure this says we can kill more people next time.

personally think Dominique Pelicot deserves to be tied to the mast of a ship about to cross the Atlantic in winter but I guess 20 years in prison is better than nothing
