I was thankfully able to opt out of this move by Microsoft on my office subscription, still looking like we’re going to need to invest in open source office suites to avoid subsidizing the plagiarism machine.

Anyway. Violence creates dull, frightened little authoritarians who will grow up to cower before power & impose violence on weak, marginalized groups. We have plenty of those already.

I’m torn on this specifically, ideally we want lower fuel use, but these standards provided the incentive that’s bloated the size of vehicles and led to more dangerous roads. Manufacturers have been pushing everything into the light truck category for easier mileage rules.
