Yep. They played at his damn golf course. The drummer posted about being proud to support Trump on his instagram www.livgolf.com/news/legenda...

Y’all need to revoke access to whoever decided to start injecting opinion posts. Nobody follows this account for that.

I loved Sublime and vomited when I learned they’re Trump supporters now.

We also have a controlled experiment: dozens (maybe hundreds) of other cities with huge protests today, and I would wager that LA is a major outlier in police violence.

Serious question: Are the police getting kickbacks on the hundreds of millions in settlements LA is paying out

LA finding hilarious new ways to bankrupt ourselves 🥲

Honestly if they’re going to go after anyone it should only be the employers: this strategy of going after poor undocumented people is like if the DEA only ever arrested buyers and never dealers. Of course the real answer is to reform the whole system and give amnesty 🤷‍♂️

lol I think they’ve started avoiding standing in front of that wall because the optics are so incredibly powerful (in a damning way). That wall is right across the street from the federal building they’re guarding, but they seem to have adjusted their position to avoid being near it.

Santa Monica is a mess. This neckbeard loser guy has been leaving trash all over the city! www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8MKmXm5/

What *is* virtually impossible is holding them criminally responsible for blatant criminal activity like we see in this case.

The Los Angeles city budget deficit is almost entirely due to people successfully suing LAPD 🤷‍♂️ it’s a real problem

They also patented a camera autofocus system and then proceeded to sue camera makers for $500 million. camera-wiki.org/wiki/Honeywell

Probably because the man who’s one heartbeat away from the presidency is one of his subscribers?

Agree. One thing I think holds people back is the tendency to cling to some out of the box identity that society makes for them (‘I’m an introvert’ being one of them). Also it’s mostly corny but the book How to Win Friends and Influence People does have valuable practical knowledge.

Has anyone checked if Katie Miller has any new horses

Oh it’s definitely panning. Not giving the major news orgs who normalized these fascists in by runup to the election a red cent. Not a praying type, but I pray for their bankruptcy.

Is the New Yorker in a Signal chatroom with the NYT editor, running a secret competition for who can publish the absolute worst takes?

Massive, historic regressive wealth transfer being plotted in Congress. Meanwhile the media is trying to distract with this pointless slop. Some blame the GOP. I don’t, I blame the media that makes the GOP possible.

Pretty sure there was a Signal chat with all the nominees where they competed on who could lie to Congress the most. They knew they’d never be prosecuted by a Trump Justice Department 🤷‍♂️
comment in response to post
You know who did it because their post mortem doesn’t mention any plan to fire the person responsible and sue them for damages.

Awesome, China imports will be subsidized now. Art of the deal.

LA doesn’t even need to fund housing, it just needs to stop actively preventing it from being built. Really what we need is for the state to step in and entirely remove local zoning privileges until every adult can rent an apartment on minimum wage.

In fact everyone in LA IS paying a regressive sales tax to help this. abc7.com/post/los-ang...

They kinda neglect to mention that the accent isn’t completely southern. The Appalachian accent is all over. I’ve heard people in Cincinnati with a clear drawl, and people born and raised in North Carolina (but not from the Appalachian mountains) with no accent.

Get to the vet! My cat had a UTI, and we got a prescription for antibiotics plus one for subcutaneous fluids. Battlecat has a new lease on life at 16 years old.

Notably this isn’t a treaty, so it’s just a vibe that can be changed any time (not that treaties with the US are worth anything anymore 🤷‍♂️)

Credit tightened, but there is still a massive amount of helicopter money from 2020 sloshing around. This rule seems like one designed explicitly to kill the tech industry, or at least heavily extort it.

Isn’t a lot of this due to the TCJA forcing r&d to be amortized over five years starting in 2022?

That was the whole point. The White House is a protection racket now, this isn’t helping the movie industry, it’s a shakedown.

How long until smuggling becomes a multibillion dollar business? This country was founded on it. The Boston tea party was thrown by smugglers who were mad that the Tea Act was undercutting them 🤷‍♂️
