It was the first majorly accessible game that let you make a character in dragon ball while also having gameplay that wasn’t as unpleasant as sand paper. Genuinely it’s the fact the amount of support the games got, and the fact that they toyed with some what if scenarios that made it appealing.

Crazy this game is now 8 years old and the first one is 10! I think it’s fair to say the series never lived up to its full potential, but for a good while I used to wait for each dlc release to the very minute they’d be available for purchase. Here’s to hoping they’ll do another game one day.

Tri fetch tap lands that can get non basics would be pretty funny, maybe slow enough to be fine? But I don’t think they’d be necessary

Ah fair, yeah it does, I technically see it power she could always use in part because it’s what her parents did, but not usually her style. In this instance she’s made an exception because it’s for Nissa.

Had some fun with it on arena brawl, so I’m actually trying to make an oathbreaker deck with it, but it’s definitely not my favourite of her cards

The 3 you mentioned we were told by Mark were mistakes due to when the cards were designed and thus overlooked. The norm is once with the desparked symbol then never again.

I liked seeing Chandra as a racer, but that’s about it, I think I’d also have liked to see her in a more standard fair setting instead, and I know for a fact I dislike the hat set concept.

The thing that’s been letting marvel down lately is writing and planning, you have tons of talented actors and people behind the scenes not getting used correctly at the moment, and it’s something to do with top management.

I think in a few years the decision to make UB standard legal will be looked back on as a mistake, standard needs to be a really accessible format to make the cards pulled useful beyond commander and sealed

Thank you for all these years of hard work, some of the music I listen to most regularly is your stuff, including the final fantasy 7 battle music, Lugia song remix, everything octopath traveler you did, the lake of rage lo-fi track, and a bunch more I’m not remembering right now

If you can get it to work it’s a good card, I just always seemed to open with it and wish it was a basic a lot of the time, i think I just prefer non situational lands in general though

It might just be that my playgroup is quite high powered, so it’s more often times than not never triggered. I think it’s important to remember that while the game might be the same for us in theory, in practice all our millage with everything is going to vary massively, and that’s fascinating!

I think it’s actually always better, I’ve never been happy with temple of the false gods, it’s either too early or too late. This at worst is a untapped colourless mana that turns into sol ring if you can inflict damage over 3 turns (can hit speed 2 the turn it’s played) time will tell for sure

People like to doom and gloom the whole no exclusives thing, but end of the day most of the games I play these days are 3rd party or Xbox anyway, I don’t think you can go wrong no matter which console you play on.
comment in response to

Exclusives are sort of anti consumer aren’t they by nature? Like ideally we’d just own one console that does what we like (e.g portable vs performance vs visual) and maybe a second, and buy games we actually want to play.

Yep, it sounds cooler than it is, the turn you use it normally your just not gaining anything, it’s like a storage device

At worst it’s chromatic lantern, at best it’s as many artefact etb triggers as you have lands in green, I bought one a while back only so I could make cats and dogs with it, now I have two for the binder ;p

It’s not awful, but it’s kind of average? Maybe with mods it’s been improved some. (Legit, fast travel is far too clunky considering you can’t really travel without it)

Here’s my perspective, the game has a lot of procedurally generated content which results in some quests that are very samey, it doesn’t have as much rpg content as you’d hope for, and the story is quite average at best. It has a cool ship building system, but some of the worst loading screen menus.

I actually think if you did a review of it or something it would be entertaining to hear your thoughts on it

That’s a cool collection! Out of curiosity, what were your thoughts on the shadow dragons? I’ve always thought they were interesting but poorly executed (average gt fan can probably name 3 maybe 4)

Just you wait till they start advertising whatever movie they shoehorn him into :p (I genuinely believe they’ll do some sort of transformation with him and he’ll end up being a portal to some long lost plane, that or the source of whatever reboot they need to do after 20 years of universes beyond)

Na, they’ll just release vice city under the name gta 6 and say “what do you mean this isn’t gta 6? It’s the same map!”

Man, after two months of grinding points to get a full art Erika (got her 100 short of that goal so crafted a misty) i had none of the newer cards and just lose every game, Pokemon pocket has way too many rng bad feelings ;(

That reminds me of the time I imp’s mischief’d a counter spell to counter that very imp’s mischief and had to wait for arena’s timer to end my turn for it to resolve ;s

It’s a reasonable step towards keeping tech that is quickly becoming a blight on every creative endeavour, if not one with minimal impact.

What I’ve learned as an outsider over the years to most creative industries is higher ups often like to take shortcuts whenever possible, even if the end result ends failing as a result, it’s incredibly frustrating to see aye eye is infecting nearly everything I care about as a consumer :/

If you end up feeling tempted again, there’s no harm in trying once an hour or so after release, if it has a queue you can just walk away into happier times, otherwise, singles are always an option anyway.

If they ever do another version of the anime with them all having the same hair colour I bet that would be a fun rewatch
