There's literaly an mRNA vaccine to treat pancreatic cancer in the works. It's shown promising results in a Phase 1 trial. Most people with pancreatic cancer are dead within 5 years. It's what killed Patrick Swayze.

Me: “LSD should be called LAD because the S stands for the German word ‘Säure‘ which translates to ‘acid’ but then again Germans also say ‘DNA’ when they should be saying ‘DNS’ for the same reason the other way around.” Customs officer: “I meant do you have anything to declare about your luggage.”

The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.

Almost certainly the best thing I was ever told about owls was when I met an owl handler and he said that the wild owls near the sanctuary where he worked worried about the tame show owls there and sometimes stopped by to leave them shrews and mice as presents.
