CSS is render- but not parser-blocking. This means that while a browser is fetching CSS, it is permitted to continue parsing the rest of your HTML but not render it. HOWEVER! If you’re not careful, you can inadvertently end up in parser-blocking territory.

adeta twitter'ın öbür dünyasında gibiyiz. twitter'da ölünce bu cennet ırmaklarına sahip, sakin, sessiz yerde takılıyoruz sonsuza kadar. arada twitter'a dönüp bakıyoruz "acaba benimkiler napıyor" diye, sonra buraya geri dönüyoruz. dertlerimizden arınmış, kaos yok, kriz yok, linç yok. bi rehavet.

I know you like Ghost CMS, the best open-source publishing software for independent content creators. I have a good news for you: I built a very fast yet very affordable fully managed Ghost hosting service, synapsmedia.com Give it a try, its free for 14 days!

Who's asking?

What's your favorite webcomponent-based design system? I'm a big fan of nordhealth.design (public, not open source though)

Today, I was thinking about privacy concerns of using Gravatar. I mean, using gravatar as a service/website provider. Automattic's privacy policy doesn't give clear information about what kind of data they mine from gravatar traffic. A good discussion here: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/44...

I'm having so much fun of #PWA support on Safari so far. Adding Bluesky to dock works perfectly. I use elk.zone for #Mastodon and #HomeAssistant as PWA as well. Interestingly, docking Home Assistant web page works even better than official Home Assistant app.

Putting AI in your product? You're gonna need #CSS gradient text animations (if you want to be cool) So here, a recipe! codepen.io/argyleink/pe... ↪ nerdy.dev/animated-gra...

I see this screen for the first time. VSCode 80GB, Safari 26GB! I never close both apps, but apparently I should 😊

Apple Intelligence Writing Tools works on-device, right? Then what is this? (I just tried proofreading for 2 sentences)

OpenAI in 2024: “No AI for weapons or military” “Do use our AI to make weapons to hurt yourself or others” “Military is fine, but no AI for weapons” “Sure put it on battlefield drones” www.technologyreview.com/2024/12/04/1...

I enjoyed optimizing a #CSS image slider and writing about the process too. 😊 muratcorlu.com/pure-css-bac...

It seems you can embed a link (i.e. link a word or phrase) in a skeet using the app Deck.blue, but this doesn’t seem to be possible with the official Bluesky app? Anyone have further info on that?

As far as I understand from this article, current state of Bluesky is kind of all of us using a polished UI of a single Mastodon server, like everyone uses mastodon.social. So no discovery issues, no missing replies etc. But also no "decentralization". dustycloud.org/blog/how-dec...
