Waiting for the big outlets to put two and two together and realize that police whose identities are secret and facilities are secret are secret police.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

Satsie's new zine on Silent Payments dropped. It's a neat little introduction to the topic.

Bitcoin Optech newsletter #355 is here: bitcoinops.org/en/newslette...

Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day!

It's raining BIPs, hallelujah... Recently merged: BIP53 BIP54 BIP172 BIP177 BIP321 BIP443 On the cusp: BIP77 Maybe a good time to remind that BIPs are author documents that represent the authors’ recommendation to the Bitcoin community.

I think about this comic at least once a week

Today, 34.6% of all UTXOs are P2TR, via dune.com/murchandamus...

Today I realized that transactions that only spend one P2A input are non-segwit transactions in the sense that they don’t have a witness section. bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/126119/5406

Without due process, being innocent or a citizen does not protect you. See you at the next protest.

Jon Atack just gave a talk on the BIPs repository, being a BIP Editor, and the BIP3 proposal. I couldn’t be there, but if you have any questions, please feel free to AMA here: stacker.news/items/941593

If due process is denied for anyone, it can be denied for you too. If anyone can be snatched off the streets, detained, and deported without due process, it can happen to you too. We demand due process is upheld for every single person.

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

The mempool is empty. #mempoolreport

For many decades, Freiburg has been expanding tram lines and bike paths, enlarging and beautifying pedestrian zones, optimizing traffic lights, and improving legal regulations. These efforts have been a great success: 79% of all trips are made by bicycle, bus, train, or on foot—the best in Germany.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

It's gut wrenching to watch the US skid into constitutional crisis with barely any resistance. www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i...

Ooof. Looks like the old "Don’t roll your own crypto" needs a 2025 update: "Don‘t roll your own crypto and most certainly don’t trust an LLM to generate your own crypto for you".

Sweden is backpedaling on getting rid of cash: www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

Yet again, it is mindboggling how expensive and slow residential internet in the Bay Area is. Of all the places on the world, you’d think the Bay Area would have managed to build out fiber.

The United States government just disappeared a lawful US resident because it didn't like his speech. You should care about this because it shouldn't happen to anyone, but you should also care because it could happen to you. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/09/n...

Don't let them gaslight you. The dog whistle is now a fog horn.

Please share widely. I'm not above begging for Retweets if it means we end up showing how much New Yorkers, even those that initially opposed the program, now see the necessity of Congestion Pricing and show up to Oppose Trump's nonsense.

Woohoo, BIP 3 got merged! github.com/bitcoin/bips...

We'll see you Thursday Feb 20 at Chaincode Labs for our next Meetup! What do you want to discuss? www.meetup.com/bitdevsnyc/e...

If you’ve ever taken the oath to uphold the Constitution, this is the time to live up to it.

AUSA Hagan Scotten, former clerk for John Roberts, really put some mustard on his resignation letter.
