There is a silver lining to this. If the MAGA crowd embraces electric cars and starts buying them, they will, albeit unknowingly, contribute to the fight against climate change.

And 2) Europeans tend to travel internationally way more, while there are people in the US (particularly rural states) which might have never left their state, let alone visited another country. This, I think, also contributes to the difference in the world view

As an European I can totally connect with your thoughts. I think there are 2 additional factors: 1) Europe has much wider education programme scope and therefore, Europeans will generally have a broad general culture and knowledge vs US people
