A new ÂŁ20m Museum Renewal Fund, delivered via @artscouncilengland.bsky.social for 2025/26, will ease the financial pressures facing civic institutions. The fund will help keep museums open, protect opening hours and jobs, continue serving communities and tell the national story at a local level.

Marking the 60th anniversary of Jennie Lee's first-ever arts white paper, the package includes a 5th round of the Museum Estate and Development Fund worth ÂŁ25m, which will support non-national museums to undertake infrastructure projects and tackle urgent maintenance backlogs.
