If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general. If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

I was listening to coverage about the new concentration camp at Guantanamo this morning. Of course, they said they are just housing people there temporarily until they can find a place to deport them to... which is how Auschwitz started out. Just sayin'.

You know, the fake accounts following me would be less obvious if they didn't use pictures of the same model on two different accounts on adjacent days...

We have an election coming up in 2026. We should be using all of the evil things Trump is doing as arguments to elect Democratic Congresspeople and Senators who are going to actually impeach and convict Trump and get him out of there. We need an Impeach Trump platform.

There's no way to spin it. Trump's tariffs will increase prices for consumers right here in Illinois—especially at the grocery store and the gas pump. Not exactly the platform he campaigned on...

@akkartik.name -- I stumbled upon your 2014 blog article "Literate programming: Knuth is doing it wrong" today, and while I like many of your points; I think you miss the value of L.P. as "Teddy Bear" code review / "Rubber Duck" debugging -- The value is in attempting the explanation.

Don't let things like shuttling kids to school or other life changes stop you from doing important things like exercising regularly or visiting with friends; figure out how to meld those changes into those important things, lest you be lonely and out of shape at 60.
