He would totally be an ally.

Oh, "to a T", that looks pretty cute, I might check it out- "From the creator and designer of Katamari-" AND INSTALLING.

I'm starting to understand why people use "make gender your entire personality and identity" as a derogatory phrase, because, that's how they think. This always-on need to discover what's under the hood, even when it's a genderless avatar with the human depth of a mannequin.

This. Whilst I understand objections to edited or derogatory material derived from screenshots, I hate that control of the IP leads to very narrow and heavily curated reviews, rather than allowing people to naturally shoot the breeze. Fanbases are both a means of generating goodwill, and publicity.

i don't think there's a more self defeating anti-piracy system than streaming sites that don't let you take screenshots. i am trying to talk about your product on social media! for free! and you're making that logistically difficult just in case i'm dedicated enough to do it 30 times a second!

It'll always completely blow me away that they want to charge 60+ bucks for a game because of "costs", but then, dream of pulling this shit.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Awzy... House of the Dead bosses are like:

That is one "TikTok made me buy it" away from full societal collapse.

I'm kind of in love with this method of storytelling, when something so inhuman is essentially given a kindred soul, a means of expressing emotion. It reminds me of how insect-like every character in Hollow Knight was, but they were all very much people we felt varying things for.

Cloud still unsure if Tifa missed or hit what she was aiming for.

For those in the know.

The latter is similar (if not the same) to the demo unit I would frequently linger around at my local game shop. Couldn't afford a PS1, played the demos to oblivion, sometimes prompting the manager to unplug the controller. Joke's on them, I was facinated by it, and would hang around anyway.

Happy pride folks I'm still fleshing out the entries, but here's a list of over 200 retro games (pre-2010) which were made by trans people or which had trans people on the dev team. We have always been here. dotmaetrix.neocities.org/classictrans...

TikTok moderation completely floors me. I've spent the last few days reporting a surge of obvious spam "adult services" that shouldn't be on the platform. "No violations found". I refer to Thanos, a fictional character, as a "purple numpty". "Your comment violates community guidelines".

I like that I'm not the only one who missed "pin" and experienced a confusing array of emotions.

learn your history, besties

The Pictochat of Dorian Gray was way ahead of its time.

Colonial Marines are friends, not food.

I do love the genre of PC which is basically: "Can it play games?" *Jams a Sega Genesis in there* "It can now."

This is like the gamer equivalent of those childhood stories where we picture a mouse living in a little home under the ground and who is best friends with their neighbour Mr Mole... All these characters live in the console, and they're friends!

hats off to @jonasgoonface.bsky.social for a line that'll rattle around in my head and heart by the way. thanks for a wonderful read!

Parasite Eve II (1999, PS1)

Resident Evil has always been very curious with its greenery, because it usually signposts healing herbs to the player, as well as set the overall theme of a mountain region setting. I also find it brings life to most areas of the game, with sterile, lifeless labs being largely the exception.
