I think a large part is tacit knowledge that they are conservatives dressed up as center left. Bluesky being mostly center left with vocal leftist aggitation uncovers how unpopular they actually are with the broad left.
comment in response to

To paraphrase you said that bluesky made twitter more influential and I asked you in what way is that true.
comment in response to

You said reddit. Does r/politics circlejerk look just like r/conservative? Or do you think each subreddit has their own community of similar minded people and conflating that with all of reddit is disingenious?

It what world is reddit an echo chamber? And how did people leaving twitter for other social media enviroments make twitter stronger?

You didn't prove a majority of us didn't vote for harris or that they think I am scum for voting for her
comment in response to

I don't think any of us think they are a scum for voting for harris though

Thank you! I appreciate your posts and the work you do!

Still won't do work yourself considering she posted the same thing two weeks ago and it takes 3 seconds to check and screencap/link.

I am sorry for doing this to you. But do you think I am scum for voting for Kamala?
comment in response to

It is wild that when asked to do work you push it onto someone else
comment in response to

I am asking you to do work. Either show the ability to do a modicum of work or stop whining that people didn't like a canidate no one liked.
comment in response to

You said you can prove for a fact that op did not vote for Kamala. Prove it.
comment in response to
post
Okay prove it.
comment in response to

... do you think you aren't ascribing a position to everyone else in this thread? Like you did with me? Do you think maybe your priors are messing with your outlook?
comment in response to

There is a difference between being bad at politics and telling everyone that is critical of how the dnc ran 2024 that they did everything in their power to vote for trump. You honestly need to grow up and learn how to talk to people.
comment in response to
post
I voted for Harris because I believe in harm reduction. While voting for her I qlsp actively worked to ensure my community voted for her. Your inability to talk with people in your tent w/out getting blocked is a slight against you and your politics.
comment in response to
post
So no, you can not prove your point and you are upset that we are asking you talk about our shared reality instead of the fiction in your head?
comment in response to
post
I asked you if you could prove what you are saying. I get libs hate doing leg work, but can you do anything?
comment in response to
post
Can you prove that? That "most of the people... like a Jill Stein."? Or is this going to be a case of a liberal whining that their politics aren't popular?

With Robin Williams?

It is untrue
comment in response to

Is that what I said? Or did I say ineffective liberals won't stop negative change (like newsom giving up on trans people)?
comment in response to
post
Yea. That is point. I object to treating llms like a magic box that does all these new things when all it does is streamline research (not perfectly either)
comment in response to
post
I voted for Kalama. I just don't think voting for ineffective liberals will save people (looking at newsom)
comment in response to

I am sorry, are you implying Castro failed?
comment in response to

Oh that is why we should rebuild. Our current issues are caused by the systems in place. You can't reform america out of racism.

I looked up a song based off my memory of a beat. It takes time but it isn't impossible.
comment in response to
post
What? Mondegreens are old enough that you could find songs based off bits and fragments in any search engine. I literally did it not half an hour ago to find the name of a specific song (the line is "believe neither but fear them as well" so not impossible.)

To prefix translate =/= transliterate, most MTL transliterate. Machine translations are still long way from being passable as a proper translation. I spend a lot of time reading (translated) Japanese and there are still clear difference between proper and machine.

Okay and? Why would I value my life over global peace?
comment in response to

You are not wrong but liberals will hate to hear it.
comment in response to

So it synthesized known data into something you could better understand. Why does the word synthesize give you pause? You don't actually believe a (current) machine can give a proper translation do you?

2nd time.
Not a monolith but the war has huge support and they. Enough americans want fascism that I will us a fascist nation. Enough israelis want genocide that I will call a spade a spade.
comment in response to

You still haven't answered if you would stop saying to "release the hostages to stop the war" and at least be full throated in your death cult. I don't want to change your mind. I want you to be honest.
comment in response to
post
That is fine. You think goulda meir is someone to quote and not scorn. You don't care for a solution. You are part of the death cult (look up what the icc has been telling israel since the 60s in regards to human rights violations)
comment in response to

>just to troll
I think you are being the 14 year old here. You keep flipping around because the point makes you uncomfortable. The hostages are more useful in hamas' hands. For both hamas and israel. As long as they are happy and healthy they will keep getting western dollars.
comment in response to
post
I didn't say israel doesn't deserve to exist in any meaningful way different than my belief that no country "deserves" to exist. But paying reparations doesn't bring back all the people killed and land stolen.
Also, do you really want to bring up hospitals?

comment in response to

Why would israel go for a compromise when the west has given them the go ahead to committ genocide?
comment in response to
post
If I showed you how many times Hamas has come to the table to find an answer only for israel to renege would you change your mind?
comment in response to

America has committed numerous war crimes in its name. The American "War on Terror" were a series of horrific war crimes that our ineffective anti war protests do not wipe clean. We are responsible for blow back, just like israel is for it's decades long crimes in Palestine.
comment in response to
post
Also fwiw, as an american, I do very much understand trying to do good in a bad place. I just don't pretend my bad place is in the right because of ineffective protests.
comment in response to
post
You didn't address my point though. If the difference between releasing the hostages and not is a quick death or a chance to fight an illegal occupation, why would you give up? You'd think supporting the country that "made the desert bloom" they would support growth through struggle.
comment in response to
post
Would you change your opinion on releasing the hostages if I point out the israeli government said they won't stop even if they do release them?
comment in response to

Which is why, until those regulations come in, I push back on using like "never before", "life like", or anything that acts like it is more than just a tool for niche things.
comment in response to
post
Have you met anyone who has pulled out of their personal life because of chatgpt or any other llm or chatbot? People similar to me view it as an unregulated market that has been harmful, much in the same way social media was and is. And until we get proper regs I will push back on the magic box.

The issue again is the marketing. When used and marketed as a tool that can speed up work flow in specific markets, I think it is sick. But when marketed as a unique mind that can know and be, it is an ethical nightmare.
I mean we are already seeing negative use cases hurting the material world.
