She's perfectly OK in the first book, don't get me wrong.....but she's suddenly downright annoying in the second

A fine is too much imo. Even people in other countries will make the mistake (mostly bc they're focused on their phones) but they'll always move when politely asked.

China is a lot of things and I will never trust their government, but their current project to protect their children from online addiction is one of most progressive and effective move I've seen in this modern era.
