I couldnāt go to bed last night till 3am because my cat ate something that had her going to the bathroom and barfing on my bathroom rug, and I didnāt want her to be alone during that, so I know exactly what youāre talking about.

This was before everybody video taped everything btw. It was so long ago that we still lived in my very first house and my brother hadnāt left for Canada yet. ā¦ it wasnāt long that he left after this, tho, so thatās one hell of an escape from a hamster with perfect aim š

Iāve seen a few, yes. I donāt disagree, itās a dangerous life out there. Heās young, a little dumb, and weād wrap him in bubble wrap if we could. Maybe our version of that is shooing him away from bikes into something we know better.

We also saw a death, not at fault, involving a biker decades back. That doesnāt help with our fears obvs.

I swear that I only want him to be safe and happy, and perhaps our fears did take over from the very moment he gave up on cars and immediately chose a different path. He just rushed into them bcse he gave up, he never spoke of a love for bikes.

But youāre right, I just get caught up in the whole āyou may enjoy it but itāll hurt you before it loves youā thing. Heās happy about the car, he showed us photos, he talked about engines etc we just want him to be safe overall and he knows that.

My mother was an eye nurse & grew up in a time of terrible face injuries due to scraping on hot roads. I want my nephew to be happy but he chose the motorcycle bcse he gave up on passing his driving (cars) test, which he then immediately passed. Heās precious to us, but we heard the horror stories.
