I feel like that and citizens united really have been some of the largest factors in our current situation. I think there would be a lot less militarization in policing and a lot more trust if folks could see there was accountability for individual actions.

I remember there was some thing in LA back in 2012 and the police asked our base commander if we could support and he was like “ yeah nah, we will protect the base but you gotta figure your own shit out.” I assume it will be that from most of the leadership.
