Good. This is what they wanted for others. They got it. Good.
Not one more blue state dollar to red states.

Thanks for the tip, looking forward to this
My brother has always shown a bit of disdain to me as I tend to stay away from the tighter fits. Reading this will be kinda like my personal revenge

Thanks. Your garden is really clean and straight. Enviable.
Lots of wood mulch here in NE is pine or other evergreens and I'm worried about acidifying my soil

What are you using as mulch?

Every year we expand the native flower garden out front, to great effect in terms of attracting fun birds and bugs. The remaining lawn is currently peppered with bulb flowers. It's all going away at some point

We all need to get up in the morning and do it all over it. Persevere, survive. Have a few laughs along the way

Be smug in knowing how much gas (money) they waste as they are ruled by their teenybopper emotions
It adds up!

I leave mine downstairs now when I go to bed. Alarm clock in the room. Sleep better

Significant. Is this also why the Léman is down a good 50-60ish CMs too? Or normal winter drawdown?

Short of an invasion by a liberating, occupying power with benevolent goals ... It's not going to happen

For me it was when my coworkers told me in 2002 that I deserved to be tied down in front of a tank because I thought invading Iraq was maybe not a great idea.
I wish I had the conviction behind my beliefs. Everything has come to pass and I am not two steps ahead.
I wanted to believe I was wrong.

The only people who "didn't see this coming" are either:
Unfortunately stupid
Or
Deliberately ignorant
Or
Lying
All should be automatic disqualifiers for Atlantic authors.

Mary, I'm sorry- I don't know how the question mark snuck in there, it was supposed to be a statement!
Because those are good pellets!

I'm a union worker salaryman and my retirement is my 401k with a negotiated match in our contract, this guy is so out to lunch

I bought a small vineyard plot last month because I walked into it and felt such a presence of positive woo-woo that I couldn't deny. This parcel is the key to something else in my life that has yet to be revealed. I know this.
I went to look at it as a joke and walked away transfixed.

✊ I almost died in Houston on a work trip when a meeting ran late. I had to cross the road back to my hotel at night in my suit. Crosswalk, walk sign, well lit. BMW guy with the green taking a left into my Xwalk. I pushed myself off the car as he came around. What am I supposed to wear now?

It won't have to be through an amendment- that's not what I was insinuating.
Social behavior modification though shaming or SM influencing, higher prices, restricting selling locations or times, health insurance/care premiums, etc.
It will also be very hypocritical.

There's been a new prohibition movement grinding away in the wings for a while now. All of this is unpopular to most except to the tech accelerationists and weirdo religious groups that want to burn it all down and dgaf

Too bad everything has stretch in it now. Less durable, wears faster, more difficult to repair (more petro products too)

Surprisingly, I've come to find that most people don't know how to feel/process their own emotions & look to the wider group for guidance and security. People who buck normality (maskers, LGBTQ, homeless, etc) break the mirage, which creates inexplicable negative emotions, releasing ire and disdain

When I got married in a low tech wedding a decade and a half ago the marriage complex found out anyway and drowned us in catalogs. The big takeaway was that life ended at marriage, paradise but awaited on the other side of the door. Also the models looked to be teenagers. Gross fantasy all around.

I do this. Really. I have a steel cowbell strapped onto my belt. On crowded cat tracks I can jingle it with my thumb and it parts people like I'm Moses. When I'm in bumps or the woods people can hear me coming. My friends have them too, it's very helpful for echolocation in fog/trees. Not joking

It's almost impossible to get people to see this by persuasion. I have a 99% failure rate. Cars and vehicular infrastructure are as unnoticed as breathing. People have to come to it either by living abroad or sudden epiphany. See also outdoor nighttime lighting, light trespass & pollution, etc.
