They are so proud of their legacy and have been on like behind the scenes tours of the process, yet they were onto nothing. They could wipe their ass with their original recipe and the toilet paper would come back cleaner than it started.

Yeah I was gonna say like not that there aren't games that do that but I've never seen any sort of major pivot towards more adopting it. Click once is still very much the norm.

Bring it

Are you sure you’re not just assuming you have to hold it down I can’t think of any games that started doing that. Most will stay sprinting until you stop pushing the thumbstick forward, not in, which is how it’s always worked

I’m not familiar with that one in particular but yeah the idea isn’t difficult to transpose onto another situation. A small but important piece that nobody pays attention to at the higher level. They’re just gonna order the part that matches the spec they want and assume it’s fine/the same

Specifically springs, is my guess. If the company producing springs used in the production of joystick mechanisms outsourced to a cheaper facility or something along those lines, it would result in changes like this, where every company is affected with no noticeable design change from the 1st party

A far more likely reason is a supply quality control standard change. For nearly every system by every company to start being plagued by stick drift in the same years, a shared supplier producing sub-par components used in controller construction is far more likely. That's my personal theory.

There are many possible reasons and that is absolutely not one of them. It can be disproven by the existence of 360/PS3 era alone, where stick drift literally didn't exist at this scale or even remotely approaching it, and COD had teenagers violently cranking down the joysticks for sprint and melee.

He did work on the first iPhone tho right wtf was he doing I thought he was design

Wait what I thought he was way before that. Fuck him then 7 sucked ass

And without a system dead zone setting on the base model, now all of my systems can have stick drift at the same time. Technology is truly incredible

Even though Jony Ive turned into kind of a techbro ai pushing shithead he was absolutely cooking with the original iOS designs on like 5.1.4. Gotta go back imo

This is like the real life equivalent of telling a RuneScape pure runner to “Please for the love of god, level your defense. It’s weird”

I was gonna say wasn’t the last service pack basically just windows 7

I’ve said for years I never got the vista hate. I remember watching a compilation video of what was bad and why at a technical level and my takeaway was basically “ok from a technical aspect I get where you’re coming from but it’s really not that big of a deal”

Catch me playing guitar hero on a ps2 on a big flatscreen at age 30 with a full koolaid and chicken nuggets after spending all disposable income on sudden property tax bills. The hurdles come with benefits
