Anthropomorphic vixen trapped in human body. I am interested in current events, technology and linguistics among other things. I wish we had FDVR and UBI already. I love foxes I guess.

The current US administration enabled this by abandoning its allies. Now China knows it can do anything as they know there will be no consequences.

I hate these luddite witch-hunts especially in context of AI art. Yes a lot of that content is slop but so was a lot of stuff before the AI. AI art allows people who cannot draw well to express themselves in a way they wouldn't be able to otherwise.

Then your problem is capitalism not automation. Once we get superintelligent AI, hopefully capitalism will inevitably end. Anyway people should demand the reform of the system, not stopping the automation.

Machines doing work for us is good. I want to live in the world where I don't have to work and machines do the work for me. I bet going back to the pre-industrial revolution medieval times where humans did most of the work wouldn't be fun for you as well.

However please don't misunderstand this. Elon Musk is still a piece of shit and and definitely doesn't have anything good in store for us common people. I am merely trying to correct people's misunderstanding of the technology.

It can be for example help with things like transparent financial tracking (i.e. real-time auditing of funds) and fraud prevention, because the records are immutable, among other things. I also recommend this Wikipedia page for more examples of real world uses: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockch...

This is a broken clock moment for Elon, I am not a cryptobro by any means, but this is one of the few legitimate real world uses of the blockchain technology, which is much more than just cryptocurrencies.

Most of the comments I see here are classic "REEE AI BAD" without anyone knowing what deep research is capable of. This thing will save lives and push technological progress forward.

I don't like meta but at least they are doing useful research. R&D always causes net loss until something groundbreaking is developed that consumers are willing to buy.

So that's why the servers are always busy and the app is unusable right now...

ClosedAI scraped the whole internet so there's that. I have nothing against training AI, but they have no moral ground here. DeepSeek is open weights and anyone theoretically could install it on their machine.

Unfortunately there are no alternatives to Amazon if you need a fast and reliable delivery of some niche product.

I use Deepseek for various task, or just as a friendly chatbot to talk with. Yes Some things related to contemporary Chinese politics are censored, but it is much less censored than many other western chatbots. Also its open source so you can download and uncensor it if you want.
