Imagine thinking about a biologically complex and fascinating system like the human body and trying to boil it all down to discrete data points. It fascinates me how much we want to over simplify things to match our mental model of them rather than expanding our own thinking

Btw, as a point of comparison, my daughter and I were watching these documentaries on the history of special effects and LLM. She lost interest pretty soon after CGI came along. Why? Not because it looked bad. In fact it looks great. But the romance of the lifestyle was gone.
