Switzerland is one of the few countries to have introduced "tertiary" cleaning of sewage. Cleaning the sewage 3 times, removes not only bacteria & viruses but also chemicals & medicines - reducing risk of antibiotic resistant bacteria developing. www.theguardian.com/science/audi...

When I say you don’t have to worry about microplastics in your brain I mean that there is much stronger evidence that you should be worrying about other things that you don’t ever think about, like the draining of peatlands for agriculture, and things that you think about all the time, like fascism.

I was remiss in not wishing a happy birthday to my favourite Irish poet and the man who digs 'with his pen', whose words planted the seed of my book in my head 30 years ago when I first read his series of bog poems: #SeamusHeaney, who should have turned 86 yesterday. RIP. Cosmos bless his memory.

Apparently it's National Pet Day (unsure which nation.) In our home, every day is pet day, or rather: four-legged family day. Here's my dapper co-worker whose primary human is my teen, wearing the bow-tie I gifted him as a souvenir all the way from Copenhagen. We shoulda named him 'Ernest.'

This was perhaps the first photo that made me feel and believe I was a proper photographer and could call myself that aloud.
