surprised to see how many are highlighting the usage of the word 'lie' (finally!) I thought I'm the only one who was not okay with 'falsehood' drove me crazy at times ๐Ÿ˜„

problem with delete and repost is: I post something, someone responds and I want to edit for typo or grammer or reword for clarity but I lose the engagement! I understand your point about mimicing real life, there are tradeoffs with both but I prefer edit writing is an iterative process afterall

* third party edit feature on bluesky would be nice each post can show edit history history as well to avoid misuse

what I mean is they can have differentiation in software and features the AI integrations and long term OS support costs money I would rather Nothing spend R&D budget on software and support than on Glyph there is a reason Apple and Samsung phones sell even though they cost more than other brands
comment in response to post
they shouldn't just quit they should call a big press conference where they explain their reasons the public will listen to these competent professionals who have served decades in these departments
comment in response to post
they need to make a phone without Glyph that money can be used to add any other useful feature

why are there no external videos of the crash? I thought the airport security cameras will record all landings

there is nothing wrong with a short position their view is it's overvalued so they think the stock price will correct if they are wrong they take a lose and if they are right they profit!
comment in response to post
not surprising the loss making, independent Identity and Access Management (IAM) service provider is not the hottest tech stock around most Cloud providers have their own IAM offerings..

as much as these fringe right politicians want to rail against globalization, they also want to connect and co-ordinate.. globalism for me but not for you!

tariffs hurt demand and you end up with a smaller economy overall these imports worked because they are cheaper to manufacture elsewhere the rest of the world is all too familiar with this, these protectionist policies sound good in short-term but will not work in long-term!

why can't he start a podcast on his own? it doesn't cost much! the left-wing folks need more entrepreneurial mindset and approach the right-wing folks try all kinds of startup approach to get attention

oh, that's completely different case. Anthony took trade secrets and handed to Uber (which later paid Google for those secrets). So no value loss! Whereas Theranos raised and spent about $600M of investor money on a product that was not working and affected customers by wrongly diagnosing!

unexpectedly? have you not seen all the stories about price of eggs and Trump tariffs?

also, this is a qualitative research, where focus is on collecting details of the case, understanding context and to generate hypothesis as opposed to quantitative research where we test these hypothesis... sample size of 30 is quite good for such qualitative studies!

Elon's tweets read like LLM outputs there's a good chance he has finetuned a model with all of his tweets!
comment in response to post
also they are counting one instance where the fire was intentional due to car blown up using explosives so definitely not a quality analysis! a good shitpost though, giving elon dose of his own medicine ๐Ÿ˜„

Not a fan of Elon but this is a Faulty/Hasty generalization: "fallacy wherein a conclusion is drawn about all or many instances of a phenomenon on the basis of one or a few instances of that phenomenon" en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faulty_...

yeah, it has only 2 seasons and S2 is probably not even a hit!
comment in response to post
These AIs (LLMs) can make mistakes but they are helpful at a lot of business tasks such as writing emails, generating documentations, programming tasks, summerization etc So people are not only using it as a replacement for search engines (which will be problematic!)

just to clarify, yes, I agree! that's what I meant as opposed to trickle down economics where the tax cut favours high earners/corporations! corporate tax was left as is, so this is real test of trickle up economics, we can clearly see how it plays out over the coming quarters in earnings results!
comment in response to post
India's per capita pollution is still one of the lowest among major economies!
comment in response to post
the trickle up economics
comment in response to post
standard deduction is also increased to 75k from 50k
comment in response to post
there is nothing trickle down here, this cut is already for the bottom of the taxpayer pyramid if you can imagine one ๐Ÿ˜„ if anything they are hoping this will trickle up!
comment in response to post
this take just looking through the lens of US politics, the tax cut done here is for the middle class, the top bracket is still at 30%, this cut is, as the title of article says, to increase spending on consumption, corporate tax rates are also left as is

this is no tactic, it is how banks work.. question is: * why are the customers not moving their deposits? * no alternatives? * banks not competing for deposits?
