Sad news: programmer Don Priestley, best known for his cartoon-style games like Trap Door and Popeye, passed away late last year after a short illness. One of Don’s friends shared the news on a Facebook comment. RIP Don (1940-2024), your games shine on.

I got a C64 computer with power supply and 1541 floppy disk drive for $20. It needed a lot of cleaning. But it works 😀 the drive isn't tested yet with a disk. #retro #retrogaming #c64 #commodore64

If you had to pick a Z80 equivalent to the KIM-1, the Micro-Professor (1981) would be a contender. Another SBC with six LEDs, keypad, limited RAM and ROM, a cassette interface - but with a speaker! All packaged in a fake plastic book. The company that made it evolved to become Acer.
