Das mag sein. Dennoch ist dies, insbesondere in der Kommunalpolitik, beileibe kein Einzelfall. Viele ziehen sich stillschweigend zurück, die Agression und Einschüchterung hat 'gewonnen'.

Seit dem Nobelpreis ist er im deutschsprachigen Raum sakrosankt. Dass er das Wort Demokratie nicht mehr hören kann, ist für jemanden, der sich ohne Not auf die Seite des Diktators und Kriegsverbrechers Milosevic gestellt hat, nicht verwunderlich. Der ist schon seit über 30 Jahren Chef-Querdenker.

I'm reading Chinese history, and each dynasty compiled a history of how the previous one had fallen, so Confucian bureaucrats could and did think "Yup, fool emperor, grotesque courtiers in power, public works neglected, and the rich evading taxes. Here comes chaos again."

It would cost companies a lot of money and time to build this infrastructure in the US plus hiring thousands of people to do these jobs. It’s the isolationist policy they want but it truly isn’t feasible to do in the US.
