I'm not trying to make fun of anyone's skill or anything. I just find it interesting as a Splatoon 1 vet that, coming into Splatoon's 10th anniversary, newbies still learn the same bad habits we all had back then.

Yeahhh, that's honestly why I put the game down lol. Tho I do appreciate the advice, might boot the game up again sometime this week and give it another few attempts! This boss was pretty difficult tbh, and I've had some cheap deaths in the past.

Escue (I think it's called). When I first got to Ferenia, instead of going through the door closest to the entrance point, I went further to the right assuming the door I abandoned was gonna progress me further. I'm unsure if that was gonna unlock an ability, but now I'm stuck in the fight lol!
