Lots of love for our girl Ingles. First day in her forever home ❤️#rescuelurcher #houndsofbluesky

Here's hoping that half term is an opportunity to slow down. Beautiful words as always from the poet, Mark Nepo.

Rare but lush date night. As parents of forces of nature it's so easy to coexist as fellow taxi drivers & all round scaffolders of family life. Felt good to just be ourselves for a few hours :)

Read my latest blog story about the hidden gifts of midlife & how we have overlooked ageing as an inconvenience, when it is intrinsic, vital & inevitable. See the link in the bio to read the blog in full 👆 #midlife #shift

This lovely rescue lurcher has stolen our hearts. She's a-coming home with us on Saturday. How can you not melt looking at that beautiful face? ❤️ #rescuedogs #lurcher

If you have a 30 min pocket of time, listen to this Illuminating chat between @saraharmitagepp.bsky.social & change coach, Suzie Yeulett, exploring the current challenges in the education landscape & the possibility for greater clarity emerging from a space of reflection. Link in bio 👆

Spring is on my window sill 🌷

A Waking Game Are you working to live, tolerating unease in the hope of future security? Did you pour yourself into kids and give up space to simply be, so you forgot how not to live for another? /2

Kiddo number 1 is growing up. Inset day IG reel creations kept him busy on the basketball court :)

Really interesting chat with @edfinch.bsky.social exploring systemic issues & a call for a culture of collaborative development. Leadership cultures permeate settings, so for children to flourish, staff need to feel supported. Joy & learning go hand in hand. #edusky

Excited to have been working on this case study alongside the team at @purepotential.bsky.social. So important that educational leaders have time & space to explore what's possible for themselves as well as collectively within their settings. #edusky #edchat

Forget commercialism & schmaltz (though heck, I love a bit of schmaltz), love is the answer in every moment.

Rumi wisdom 🙌

To know you are whole, worthy and that you belong as a human being, before any achievement, accolade or acquisition is fundamentally life-changing. We might know in theory but do we know it in our bones?

How do we show up in slightly more mundane places? In corridors, queues, fleeting WhatsApp messages, waiting rooms? Every touchpoint is an opportunity for connection, whether it's an 'obvious' platform or not.

We know from the TES Wellbeing Report that workload, lack of autonomy & external pressures are affecting educational leaders to a detrimental degree. Here are some words from Headteachers who've engaged with our programmes & coaching to show the impact on their lives. See bio link for case study👆.

Sometimes we might find ourselves in opposition to the system..yet the system is made of people & within people is an inherent capacity for change. It may take courage, insight & a generosity of spirit, but it is entirely possible to reimagine a system.

It was a joy to speak with the 11 leaders in education who were part of the @purepotential.bsky.social Autumn cohort & to co-create the mini case study (see bio for link). Qualitative feedback & wellbeing data sets show a significant shift. #leadership #culture #edusky

It's interesting that care & connection are a fundamental part of education leadership, yet little support is provided to hold that whole piece. Teachers aren't therapists yet they are a vital touch point for vulnerable children & YP. Q to ask - how might we support staff more as well as children?

At what point did you abandon yourself, back there? Was it to avoid confrontation and meet their demands, all the while compromising what felt true for you? Or was it in the reckless pull to be in combat with life, such was the weight of the heavy chip resting on your shoulder? /2

Catching up on #michaelmcintyre. I do love Unexpected Star. A tad broken listening to 81yo Peter, who sings to his wife, who has severe dementia. Reaffirming our faith in humanity, right there.

Really excited to be part of the @purepotential.bsky.social team doing this immersive work alongside educational leaders. Not only does it create clarity around organisational culture, it provides much-needed compassionate support for wellbeing in education settings. See below for details 👇
