My friend Alex is 5 days into a phenomenal challenge - running 230 miles from Macclesfield to London for homelessness charity @coffee4craig.bsky.social & THEN running the London Marathon. Please help him smash his £5k target! www.totalgiving.co.uk/mypage/runto... #marathonmediastory #runtolondon

Your Friday reminder...

This keeps coming up in coaching sessions. How we squash our feelings and silence ourselves in a bid to 'keep the peace'...until we see this is not peace at all, but compromising our own authentic voice. Pop me a line for 1-1 coaching support :)

If the surface is turbulent, dive down below and rest in the centre for a while. You're not just the wave - you are the entire ocean.

Safe harbour Perpetual people pleasing around dominant characters to avoid conflict is a tendency often engineered in childhood, to keep us psychologically safe. We maintain it in adulthood thinking it serves us, but it's exhausting and inauthentic. /2

If it's important to you to be able to support others, gently invite the question: How am I providing that same support to myself?

So true.

Hurrah for cricket season 🎉 First game and win secured for Langley CC. A couple of wickets for the beaming boy :) #cricketmum

Adulting Adulting looks alluring to my daughter who sashays in anticipation of a time of not being told. Children dream of no prescribed bedtimes, seeing grown-ups as masters of their lives, free to be exactly as they wish. /2

It's a powerful image. Growth may not always be visible, but it doesn't mean it's not happening. Don't underestimate the potency of courage & the power of an accumulation of small steps to create great momentum. #leadership #growth

Great NHS experience re biopsy for what's confirmed as a basal cell carcinoma..yet prior to & following the biopsy I had to chase to secure appointments. My underlying unease is we often need to be our own advocates to navigate service intersections...who's advocating for the more vulnerable?

Genuinely curious question for those in education - how many schools & colleges are using the D for E Staff Wellbeing Charter as an active resource & is there a budget outlined to deliver this in your education setting - whatever it might look like? #edusky

Just a few reasons why people have come to the #coaching space. 👇 Sometimes life is hard or messy & it can be tough seeing clearly when everything looks confusing. It might look like a luxury, but tending to your wellbeing is actually fundamental. Pop me a DM if you'd like to know more.

Defining a coaching approach is a challenge, when it falls outside of traditional categories. I am, however, someone who enjoys an 'articulation challenge' - these musings are my attempt to find words to contain what can be difficult to express. #coaching www.natalienuttall.co.uk/post/what-is...

Spring sunshine ☀️🌷

Up no less than 8 times one night this week after snaffling a pastry she shouldn't have + needing constant garden visits in the early hours. Good job she's super cute 🥰 #houndsofbluesky

Happy birthday to one of the most talented authors & loveliest people I know @abigailyardimci.bsky.social Xx

Mary Oliver wisdom for a Friday. Stay curious people :)

I'm enjoying the scripting prowess of The Change.. "I just don't know if this murderous rage is a lack of oestrogen or because Colin can't pronounce my name properly." "We need mandatory housework training. Conscription. But for chores not wars."

Beaut weekend in Bristol with the @purepotential.bsky.social team..connecting, meandering, planning & getting curious about future possibilities :) #leadership #connection #team

This, for me, is the greatest privilege of coaching. To hold a trusted, compassionate space for people to be vulnerable & yet feel safe. #wellbeing #coaching

I could post something deep & meaningful. Or I could post a photo of the sleeping hound, currently ousting me off my own sofa.

Fascinating conversation with Mara Gleason exploring how our inner experience translates to our outer world & the often overlooked consideration of perception, when it comes to the creation of our experiences: podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/u...

It's not just social posts that are (heavily) filtered. We overlook the fact that our experiences are shaped by our lens of perception, which is clouded by conditioning, beliefs & state of mind. It's not just theory, it's practical & highly accessible. Clarity emerges when we understand the design.

All hail the return of #TheChange on Channel 4. I am HERE for the ledger of invisible tasks and emotional load. 🙌
