Thank you! So true, on how it can be difficult to know if specimens were sourced ethically. I also paint them to look like they're alive vs pinned, I need to make another post that talks a little more about it!

Thank you! I paint them on the front side of the glass - I don't call them "glass paintings" for this reason, I think typically when people use that term they're talking about work that is painted in reverse on the back of the glass.
