🐆Enter the new year with a roar! New research shows ecologists can identify leopards by their roars with 93.1% accuracy, using bioacoustics paired with camera traps. 🧪🌍

For giraffes, slopes are a nope! 🦒 New research presented by Jessica Granweiler at this year's annual meeting shows that giraffes in South Africa stick to flat landscapes, avoiding slopes steeper than 20 degrees. Why? Navigating steep terrain requires more energy and increases the risk of falling.
