Wall Street stages of grief: Denial (no one believed in Trump’s tariffs) Anger (S&P drops 20%) Bargaining (we are here right now) (Great) Depression Acceptance (everyone in gulags making Tesla parts out of scraps of government buildings)

The median voter smokes cigarettes at gas stations.

Sure the economy is tanking, we're global pariahs, planes are falling out of the sky, and innocent fathers are being shipped to El Salvadorian gulags, but at least we're no longer at war with cancer and measles.

Copyright still requires human authorship (but there are nuances), publishers go 🤷‍♂️ about tariffs, 4 of the Big 5 protest library cuts (you'll never who didn't j/k obviously it was Harper), and more of the best writing and books links from the past week! nathanbransford.com/blog/2025/04...
