WHEN WE FIGHT, WE WIN! #teslatakedown #teslatakeover #endoligrachy Check with local organizers about the times in your areas. We will be out from 12-2 in Boston! GET LOUD!

It also doesn't really match with the way royalties typically work. Like if I draw a picture of a house I'm not typically expected to pay royalties to the architects who designed every house I've seen.

#TeslaTakedown has new protests all the time, including a big one gathering for March 1. Print these flyers and join the events or create your own at Teslatakedown.com!

Excited to start testing our new watch app designed to boost slow waves and improve brain function! You can try it if you are at least 18, live in the US, and have a Galaxy Watch. You’ll be paid $20 after completing the study and can continue to use the app! mit.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_...

Stop mass deportations with this one simple trick: wapo.st/41apYFB (gift link)

Yay.

Welcome to the Bluesky account for Stand Up for Science 2025! Keep an eye on this space for updates, event information, and ways to get involved. We can't wait to see everyone #standupforscience2025 on March 7th, both in DC and locations nationwide! #scienceforall #sciencenotsilence

Protest today at Tesla in NYC #TeslaTakeover #video #StopElon #ImpeachMusk

Hey you - yeah YOU, person who called your senators, visited their office, attended a rally, or sent an email this week. Check out what you're capable of. Keep it up.

Man I did not expect binding by synchrony to make an appearance in Severance, but...

This account is for sharing info with US scientists, both extramural and intramural to NIH, about attacks on science in the US. Education is power, and we can help advocate for science and medicine together. 💪🧪 We are a team of NIH people. Please ask us questions you might have.

Never imagined I’d have to say this, but if you want to have a look at NIH RePORTER to see how much NIH funding your state receives so you can write to your elected representatives, you’d better do it now, and get a screenshot.

Train = caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar

GLP-1 hormone research goes back to the 1970's, its testing to treat diabetes goes back to 1993, phase II clinical trials for Ozempic go back to 2008. Your desire to see others punished for losing weight 'the wrong way' is ignorant, mean spirited, and most importantly a tired & lousy joke

Nice coverage of a fun TMR study from Xiaoqing Hu’s lsb

The "Did Jimmy Carter Die Today" bot author used the wrong timezone and declared he wasn't dead today at 6AM lmao

A pretty interesting (and optimistic) paper: AI generated text and images are several hundred times more energy efficient than having a human do the same thing. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Pretty sure this is supposed to be flowers but I just see cortex slices

Random question but are the drones over new jersey broadcasting Remote ID or ADS-B? It seems like not, because remote ID would make it trivial to look up who owns them. But if they are not broadcasting that also strengthens the case they are up to something sus.

“ICE cannot enter your home unless they have a warrant signed by a judge … Most of the time ICE agents will only have warrants signed by ICE officers, and those warrants do not give them permission to enter your home.” maketheroadny.org/deportation-...

According to WHO many of these folks have malaria. Would explain the anemia symptoms, but still puzzling why they're also presenting with respiratory diseases (and what's up with the traveller who was hospitalized in Italy) www.cidrap.umn.edu/malaria/init...

Interesting paper! Rhythmic sensory stimuli at 4 and 7 hz seem to improve visual working memory www.nature.com/articles/s44...

fundamentally can't get on board with the idea that we need examples of "positive masculinity" bc that's a concept that only makes sense if you think there are gendered virtues which is dangerous bs

The (apparently) rapid growth here and flu like symptoms seem worrying. We know almost nothing about this (could turn out to be self limit, or a known pathogen, but still...) bnonews.com/index.php/20...

Just a reminder that Amazon workers are striking tomorrow through Monday, and that none of the “deals” are good enough to justify crossing the picket line.

A related argument is that if I died and came back as a ghost, I would try to warn my neuroscience colleagues that their views on the brain/mind relationship were wrong. Assuming this happens, it's probably why my ephys experiments aren't working.
