Small ways to care for community: -Check on your neighbors -Donate gently used/new clothing items to shelters -Restock a community fridge -Donate to a local food pantry -Participate in a community clean-up -Donate to mutual aid -Volunteer at your local community center or library Every act matters

Unexpected audio can be quite shocking for users. It doesn't really matter if the music is a soft ambient melody. It also doesn't matter if it's a harsh explosive sound. Color is important. Color allows us to discern whether our fruit is ripe. We use color to control traffic. We spend time in school teaching kids their colors. We ask them to "Identify the red one." But not all of us see color the same way, and some can't see it at all.

@smith.senate.gov happy birthday! From one March 5th to another - keep up the good fight. Thank you.

How does one find out if they have an FBI file? I just want to make sure ALL my heroes have them.

We have four main principles in accessibility: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (Accidentally wrote robot butts first!). The P.O.U.R. principles guide us in how we classify, identify, and fix issues.

DOGE recommends cuts to the FAA. Hundreds of workers get fired, including those tasked with producing air traffic navigation maps. Now Starlink is reportedly in line to take over a $2 billion contract to upgrade the nation's air traffic control systems. See how this works?

seems reasonable

This is what people need to get: Automated testing and remediation are the first step, not the solution.

It's not the 80's. We don't live in a world where "the fold" exists any longer. We're not locked to a 4:3 viewing experience. Our movies are most commonly 16:9 ratio. Even phones and TVs.

Hi, I’m Nat. This is my first time at the bifocal meetup. I’m really excited about not having to remove my glasses to read things.

They don't want to teach history so they can repeat it.

If you are going to implement this, PLEASE use prefers-reduced-motion. This interaction will make people sick. It’s why WCAG put in 2.3.3 Animation from Interactions into place with WCAG 2.2.

Zelenskyy calls for the creation of a #EuropeanArmy: “We must build the armed forces of Europe, so that Europe’s future depends only on Europeans,” the creation of a unified European force outside of NATO comes after the US elected a Russian asset making it no longer reliable or to be counted on.

1.3.3 Sensory Characteristics: When we are little, we are taught about our 5 major senses: Sight, Taste, Touch, Hearing, and Scent. But we also have senses that can detect electrical stimuli, heat, cold, our awareness in space. If you tell someone to find the green button, you've violated the succes
