I was frustrated but was thinking of people with buggies or wheelchair users having to take the long way around to get to the crossing for the Gateway shopping centre

I got stuck here with the cargo bike & had to go all tge way around. Such an easy fix

Reducing average speed does have an impact though & as tech advances over the next decade, so will enforcement.

I think tech is going to come into playway more over the next decade. But the fact that L roads are down to 60kph at least means Google maps might not send poor bewildered tourists down these roads as a quickest route.

I think there are over parties like the Soc Dems who have for the most part a proven track record at local govt. The @labourpartyireland.bsky.social policy looks great but they are still backing the ring road in Galway. Some really good new reps elected so hopefully that will bring change

She just doesn't get it. Someone would want to bring her out on a spin. We go on mini breaks to Dún Laoghaire every year since the coastal mobilty route opened. It's just fab!
