It’s a very character-driven and character-exploratory story, which are always my personal favorites!! Feels like the world building is really only there so long as it’s in service to the characters, and after that it doesn’t matter as much bc it really isn’t the point of the story

Yeah I’m used to the regular vanity sizing, annoying as it is. Like if we want to do stupid math and say that I’m a 30 instead of a 31 then whatever. But if I’m a 31, you tell me I’m a 30 on your size chart, and then I’m actually a 28 then what are we doing!!! Even men aren’t safe at this point tbh

DUDE OK EVEN MENS PANTS like my brother is 6'7" and i could push him over with a slight breeze so i special ordered his clothes from age like 15-23, when he decided to just reorder it on his own finally. had the devastating experience of trying to buy new pants last year and had the same damn issue!

like dress sizes being bogus isn't news obviously, but i gave this place measurements so i can only assume they were also somehow used to people.....shortchanging their own measurements?? like did get a laugh out of the woman bc i was like "i am NOT a size six, and ive never been a four"

its so annoying and i wish i could say it was just online!!! i had to buy some like medium-high digit suit/workwear pieces recently and the poor commissioned salesperson had to bring me a 10, then an 8, then a 6, then FOURRRR in some pieces. like the length of my bones alone should eliminate a 4/6.

like i am an objectively large person. i have been a large person for most of my life, and i come from a long line of rather large people. i am, according to measurements, a size large. and yet if order a size large, pants and sports bras straight up fall off of me. CEASEEEEE

this is now a consistent phenomenon across multiple companies where i measure myself and then take 2-3" off the actual measurement. which can be the difference between ordering a small and a large. lads i went to the doctor last month and i'm 5'9" and 155lbs. does that seem like a size SMALL to you
