Regarding violence vs nonviolence, the right to peacefully protest is enshrined in the human rights charter. All protest should be nonviolent for as long as it is permitted to be by the state or oligarchy. That said, respect each others right to peacefully assemble; know when to withdraw or defend.

This dynamic exists in deaf communities too. Sign language interpreters can feel free to give or withhold their services based on how much they like a deaf person. You always have to be super likable to avoid that dynamic emerging.

If there's any word of advice I should give, it's to find something enjoyable to do during the first 90 days and definitely avoid doomscrolling non-stop. Like don't bother with it, do something that gives you hope and optimism. Keep your head clear of doomer nonsense.
