First Vanderbilt and now the University of Pittsburgh. These are incredible places to train students. Students are the centerpiece of many labs and the pipeline for the future, not just in academia, but also industry, patent law, consulting, teaching, and medicine

Universities shutting down their own phd programs to appease a president’s agenda, only weakens their own value. This is pathetic, making you strip the highest levels of your institutions. Stand against this. Your students deserve better
