Happy #ShropshireDay to all who observe! #Shropshire 💙🧡

I've just booked something for the May bank holiday. I've gone to put it in my calendar and realised it's for May 2026. 🤦 This is by far the furthest out I've booked anything in advance. A shame as I was really looking forward to it this May. Who sells tickets for something in May next year FFS.

Bloody Lib dems will destroy this country by *checks notes* "being nice and fixing church roofs".

Ok, this one took me out

Is it because they're ugly, inefficient, impractical and unsafe?

Classic of the "pointing at potholes" genre @robwilson.bsky.social True though, the road is shocking.

Meh, football.

Reform are gaining traction. But so are the mighty greens! Love and hope will always triumph! We need to make sure the Greens continue to pull ahead! join.greenparty.org.uk

A fantastic result for Sam, Warwick, and the @greenparty.org.uk As @teamlabouruk.bsky.social abandons progressive values and chases right-wing votes, and the right rallies behind Reform, it's clearer than ever that for those who truly want a fair society, the Greens are the only credible choice

New towns will build communities, not just houses, and include public transport and cycle lanes, say Number 10. Doing so would maximise space, provide easy access to jobs and services and make for nicer places to live. Please, let's learn from the mistakes of the past and get it right first time.

Great post juxtaposition just now. Someone quoting R*form's net zero purge above a post about the Earth's energy imbalance. We're adding the equivalent of 1 million Hiroshima bombs worth of energy to the climate, every day. Net zero can't come soon enough.

This is just a reminder to the BBC that the Green Party exists and does in fact have 4 MPs. You wouldn't think that, given the amount of coverage R*form gets.

Yum 😋 #Shrewsbury

Labour's disgusting deportation stunt this week wasn't just morally bankrupt, it was politically stupid. Politicians need to find the backbone to be honest about the real source of our problems: the wealthy elite draining money from our communities metro.co.uk/2025/02/11/l...

If this were Just Stop Oil, there'd have been dozens of arrests, furious denunciations in the billionaire press and, perhaps, long jail sentences. Farmers have a right to protest, and the police respect it. Other people, it seems, not so much. The real #TwoTierPolicing www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/...

Huge if true (and the local council's don't cock it up by building crap)

Someone needs to tell Mandleson ethnic cleansing doesn't need to be "respected, understood and adjusted for." www.bbc.com/news/article...

July 2024: Five UK climate protesters jailed for conspiracy to block major road February 2025:

Five years in jail each plus fines for using red diesel for non agricultural purposes?

Can't really argue with this 😂🙈 #SaintsFC

Brilliant to see this historic moment - and hopefully also a step towards more renewable energy in Europe. Good news for the climate anyway.

Erm, @bsky.app what have you done?

Professor Amal Clooney's husband must be very proud. www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/2491546...

Dear BBC headline writers, maybe look at your colleagues at the FT ("Hottest January on record shocks scientists") and Sky ("'Dangerous climate breakdown' warning as hottest January on record shocks scientists"). Sudoku is a 'puzzle'. This is about understanding an existential threat to humanity.

An acre of land can power a car to go 13,000 miles per year using biofuel (corn ethanol), or 900,000 miles per year using solar.

Word of the day is one I may have mentioned (frequently): a ‘snaccident’ is the inadvertent eating of an entire packet of biscuits.

Fantastic 1 minute sales pitch for @greenparty.org.uk from Zack - he's SO good at this. 👏🏻 If you feel like the Labour party doesn't represent you any more, but aren't sure what the Greens stand for other than "the environment" & tackling the climate crisis - here you go. 👇🏻

Brexit aside, what's with the obsession of tax cuts. If anything I'd like to pay more council tax so that we have better services, improved infrastructure and safer streets.
