I used to be one of those “wake up at 4 a.m.” or “keep chugging ‘til 4 a.m.” guys who grinds away at work for hours while everybody else sleeps. But I now understand that you can only drive in the express lane for so long before the wheels come off.

Thinking about whether you should quit your job? I don't know if you should but I do know two tests you should to help decide: 1. The Deathbed Test: What will you regret not doing more when you look back? 2. The Plan B Test: What will you do if it fails and are you OK with that?

Want to be happier in 20 minutes? 1. Write a thank you email (5 mins) 2. Write down 5 gratitudes (5 mins) 3. Go on a run (10 mins)

One tip to avoid overwhelm: Every night before bed I grab a blank index card and write down 3 tasks I want to do tomorrow.  That’s it. Just 3.  The forced prioritization is half the battle.  It always helps me sleep better.
