This is certainly not a knock against Robotech. I think American knowledge of anime owes a lot to Robotech, even if it dicked with the availability of Macross for a very, very long time.
Rather, I'm just fascinated that seemingly (some) Robotech fans didn't learn a lot past Robotech.

Rider: Kuuga, Den-O or Fourze.
Sentai: Megaranger, Timeranger or, yes, DonBrothers. (Really, most could work for Sentai.)
Ultraman: Ultraseven, Tiga or Blazar.
Not about favorites or bests, but ones I think could have a broader appeal to a newcomer.

Thoughts and prayer lip service for a single news cycle when someone blows up an abortion clinic. 24 hour condemnation from every news channel for months on end when a CEO eats lead.

It's the fact he literally, unironically, took at least one job away from an actual Asian writer while doing yellowface that always gets me. He's not just a racefaker and a double-dipper, but he LITERALLY stole a job from the Asian writer they were looking at thanks to Marvel's incompetence.

Survey: are you interested in things you wouldn’t admit to publicly and might distort the results of this survey?
Everyone: of course not…

The experience taught me to have a healthy sense of skepticism about this kind of survey result. You need to look at real behaviour, not self-reported.

It's like every person who thinks Batman "should be" about Bruce Wayne doing philanthropy work (which he already does in-universe, but don't tell THEM that) or that "actually, it all takes place in Bruce's head in the REAL Arkham Asylum."
They forget these comics are meant to go on for YEARS.

Sometimes it also sounds like they don't want the X-Men to be a ridiculous goddamned soap opera and a tangle of relationships.
I'd say "they want everything to last no more than two issues but also nothing ever gets repeated" but those sort of people don't actually read comics, let alone X-Men.

Send $5 to somebody's GoFundMe, buy diapers off a diaper bank's wishlist, I don't know! I don't know!

This is not to ignore that Matt Moylan has had his brain atrophied by stupid ass culture war nonsense for some time now, but seeing him hijack one of the company artist’s work to push that garbage is disgusting and crossing a line

Like bro one of their mainstay artists has long been posting woke ass gay porn and the artist who drew the cover where he posted this comment was commissioned like 10 times in a weekend by japanese fujoshis to draw gay street fighter romance while representing udon at a comic con

The Fully Charged cartoon was so weird because it was CLEARLY being majorly held back by something or other— perhaps Capcom itself fumbling once more with what they’d allow the show to do?
Either way, Rock keeps hitting every branch on the way down.

at least he's finally gone completely mask off as a comicsgate shithead instead of just giving off bad vibes with plausible deniability so i can give easier examples than old bullshit he did in the transformers fandom when people ask me why i hate udon
