We still hate guns. Guillotine would be our first choice, obviously.

We prefer studies that are. As opposed to no studies at all, which seems to be a foundation for your reasoning.

Every single day? I highly doubt that. Your "read papers fully" is a great evidence. Why? Cause you didn't, you hypocrite. If you did, you'd know, that transpeople suicide rates are waaaaaaaay below concentration camps 25%. If they get gender affirming care. Which you deny them. No retractions.

No and never did. But it doesn't surprise me, that you imagined I did and chose to adress that imagined statement instead of facing the actual point. That would require re-evaluating your self image. That's hard, right? Proves my point, by the way.

Sure. Did you? Cause I got science to back me up. And you got... what exactly? And no, I don't think people with different viewpoints are evil. Just the people who actively seek to harm other people. For whatever maligned reason that came out of their ignorance.

Yeah, I actually do. I have a masters degree in history. And I'm from Poland. I dare you to question my knowledge about the camps again. Not those summer vacation ones you had in America. The real camps.

You managed to imagine all that? Well, now you know how a trans person feels. And if that doesn't change you mind about, for example, comparing being trans to mental illness then, well... You're still thinking you're a decent guy? You're not. Not by a longshot.

No idea. You being you has no influence on their lives. You being you does no harm to anyone. Yet they are very passionate about denying you your treatment. An there are a lot of them. Maybe, just maybe, you ARE an abomination. Science was wrong before, right?
comment in response to
post
That's where we are today. But there are still an awful lot of people, who deny the science and tell you you're an evil abomination. A lot more than those who say otherwise. They're hateful against you, the science and those, who acknowledge it and want to help you. Why?

Imagine that and you'll have a picture of how transpeople felt back then. And now imagine, that someone says "hey, we checked the science of it all and seems everyone was wrong. You're a good guy after all. Take these meds, and a procedure if you want, and you'll be great. Nice, huh?"

A deficient being, mentally ill, evil even. Thing that should not be. Something that needs correcting. Or at least isolating. Would you question your own good self image? How would you feel? How would you react? How long would you suffer before you couldn't bear it and wanted everything to end?

Maybe because nobody tried to take away their core identity from them? Imagine feeling you're actually decent guy deep inside. Doing no harm, living your life, maybe having some doubts about things. But everyone, literally, including your close family, sees you as an abomination.

Well, probably. Being called transphobe isn't the end of the world though. It's not like you would be crying yourself to sleep cause of that, right? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't even feel bad about yourself. Unlike trans kids reading all that nonsense about just being impressed by media
comment in response to

Does it? Seems to me you're not posting from jail. So is the guy who talks complete bullshit that transgender kids are just being impressed by propaganda. Looks like we're having this supposedly verboten discussion right now.

Obviously, you could be "infected" by the idea of dysphoria and think you actually have it. That's why I'm all for a specialist diagnosis requirement before any gender affirming treatment. But if you have the diagnosis, everyone should just fuck off and let you live the way you want to live.
comment in response to
post
That's because both are aquired characteristics. Most recent research shows that gender dysphoria, long thought to be psychiatric condition, is actually decided by biological factors like hormones and genes. That means it's innate. You can't get "infected" by it.

That seems appropriate, yes. Trans people are killing themselves because of discrimination they face. If people responsible for spewing the hatred that caused this are only told to shut the fuck up already, they aren't opressed. At all. Call me when they start dying too.
comment in response to

Maybe because propaganda actually has nothing to do with how people feel about their sexual orientation and gender identity? It can make them suppress and/or hide those feelings, sure. But it can't incite those feelings. If it could, there would be no gay or trans people at all.
comment in response to

Really? Please name one person who spoke up against trans orthodoxy and was crushed so hard, that couldn't live with the hate anymore and commited suicide. You know, like trans people do. Please. Just one name. Shouldn't be hard, if you're not talking complete bullshit.
comment in response to

Oh, yeah, that's the reason. They identify as trans or non-binary to get affirmation and social media currency even though it makes them discriminated, hated and rejected by the society and, very often, by their own family. Do you throw out 100$ to earn ten bucks? Cause you're saying they do.
comment in response to

That makes completely no sense. How can they be confused by anything, when, as you keep telling, they are so impressionable? 99,9% of all media message in existence is enforcing cis hetero stereotype. There should be absolutely no confusion. If what you're saying is true, that is.
comment in response to

They are so impressionable, you say? Why aren't they impressed by all this anti-trans hate then? There's a lot more of it everywhere. If you weren't talking bullshit it should drive the numbers od trans kids down. And yet it doesn't somehow.
comment in response to

Are you seriously trying to tell us that kids come out as trans, cause they want to "fit in"? Cause being trans is like completely opposite from fitting in. Logic evades you. Hard.

Too bad that there's a lot more anti-trans propaganda and that makes your "it's media-induced" assumption kind of stupid

Great idea. I have another one - obligatory screening and quarantine of all Americans entering Europe, cause we don't want that shit in here.

The US almost voted Universal Basic Income for everybody in the 70s. Republicans were in favor, but Democrats voted "no", because the proposed UBI was too low according to them. Learn from this, please.

Maybe the police should act like they do in the movies? Wait for the second victim, do a profile, gather clues, compare them with the the third CEO shooting, then wonder if the fourth was done by a copycat, dismiss it at the fifth... It could be a great franchise I tell you.
