On this day in 1942, the Nazis invaded Winnipeg in Canada. At 6 am, the air raid sirens blasted, and local troops took up their positions around the city, but they were soon overwhelmed as the German forces stormed into town in armoured vehicles while the Luftwaffe flew overhead.

Presumed Liability Law; presumption that the person with most dangerous vehicle is at fault unless proved otherwise. I witnessed how careful motor vehicle drivers are around cyclists in Holland + Germany; I think them having this law is a big part of that. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...
