Wild. The time and effort they invest on being shit could be better spent on being less shit and just giving you money.

I love reading Crace's column. It always engenders a curious mixture of happiness and sadness.

I'm buggered for gluten and dairy. When my intolerance is behaving, I'll treat myself to bread, butter and cheese and good grief do I miss it. However, not having my body fuck me up is pretty good.
(TL;DR agreed, cheese is amazing)

Ah that's a shame. I haven't been since reopening, so we got there for doors open just to be sure, and it was quiet and easy at that point. But even then there was a jam at the doors for searches.

Singing with 5000 other choked up voices all feeling the same. Magical.

It really was. What a moment. I'm back listening to Yoshimi again this morning.
Sorry we couldn't get the massive balloons up to you balcony beauties!

I emphathise. 2020-23 I unexpectedly lost both my parents, and one of my best mates, and had to clear out their respective homes and basically their lives.
Add in a few other events (and a pandemic), it took a serious toll on me, and frankly it was only late last year I dragged myself out the hole.

Haha. Christ, no. They played Riding to Work in the Year 2025 last night, and that was enough of that album for me!

Ta! Lovely, lovely sculpts. A bugger to paint because of the size, but really nice models.

Gobbledigook and Niblitz. Think they're done until I paint up a base! Unsure what was the most challenging - the eyes or the NMM on the spikes on the club.

It depends on the project, but I do it on a lot of things. Picked up the habit from Craftworld Studio (www.instagram.com/craftworldst...) when I was being coached by them.

Gives a touch of warmth to the colours over the top, and makes the shadows more interesting than just black.

Work progresses on Gobbledigook. Trying to do chainmail is a challenge.

Ah, awesome. Thanks @dozy139.bsky.social for rummaging through the random stuff for me!

I picked up another three. The lady on your stand (sorry, missed her name) was helpful finding a ton of them, but the others didn't have enough flat surface to put models on at non-jaunty angles :)

Ta! Put the other ones I bought at Salute on little balsa and foam bases too, so creating cute little mini-dioramas now!

You move fast. I picked those beauts up at last year's Salute and still haven't done them!

It's going to be a challenge to paint the individual ringlets on his chainmail, that's for sure.
