People have lived under the illusion that their rights were won by polite conversation. Your rights were won in blood. By people who put their lives on the line and risked violence and death for them.

If you're going to be outside in this gear in this weather, understand the signs of heat illness and take PROACTIVE care of combat them.
Cooling rags. Electrolyte drinks. Rest and shelter when possible. Look out for each other. Don't get heat stroke.

Yeah, unfortunately rigid meta is a pretty big problem in competitive Pokemon TCG. It's why I never got too far into competitive play despite being REALLY into the cards and going to events - I always preferred the unpredictability and strategizing of booster drafts.

Well it's been 30 years and now not only are they homophobic but their chicken is the most mediocre overpriced shit I have ever been hyped up for by gay men lacking self respect

(like obviously you shouldn't give money to people trying to nullify your marriage and get a tax write-off for it period I just thought the bar would be a bit higher based on how many gays I've heard talk about it like the forbidden ambrosia, have some self respect ffs)

As an extrovert the occasional "hey I know I've not been in touch but I just wanted to say I appreciate you" goes a long way.
A lot of us on the other end of the spectrum are equally scared of being annoying to our quiet friends haha 🥲

"That said, seeing how this is a STEM college, I bet half of them would probably rather be up in a rocket than getting yelled at by some boomer manager who blames everyone but her own management choices for nobody wanting to work for her."

"Oh wow, that's a shame. I can't imagine why a bunch of college students you're paying 12 bucks an hour can't handle the same level of stress as the 12-16 people picked from thousands of applicants specifically for extreme mental fortitude who are then paid a living wage. Poor you."
