The Trump administration banned AP from the White House for refusing to use its made-up name for the Gulf of Mexico. AP is now fighting for the freedom of the press. “The press & all people in the US have the right to choose their own words & not be retaliated against by government.” Full story👇

Do not understand how the other Governors can just sit there, watching Trump act like a dictatorial bully and not speak up. Or even walk out. “We are the federal law” says Trump. Tyrant.

And to forgive.

The truth is, Trump has already betrayed every European country that sent men & women to die in Afghanistan because the US asked for help after 9/11. Europe didn’t blame the US for being attacked. They didn’t demand a deal for US resources. They rallied to an ally who now spits in their face.

Please keep sharing these stories. Behind the statistics of 1000s fired (that Trump/Musk celebrate) are individual human stories. Experienced, exceptional workers - often supporting some of the most vulnerable communities (like veterans) - are being betrayed & thrown onto the scrapheap.

Arielle’s story & that of other military spouses is covered by CNN here. She is trying to appeal through the Merit Systems Protection Board, but Trump is trying to oust its administrator, raising concerns about whether the agency that protects federal employees can help at all. A national scandal.

Truss in Washington: “We want a Trump revolution in Britain. We want Elon & his nerd army of muskrats examining the British deep state.” The shortest serving PM in British history for a reason. Utterly unhinged. (🎥 @acyn.bsky.social)

If you are a right-wing figure, it is impossible to measure the sheer scale of cuntery you have to embody in order to be criticised by the Daily Mail. Actual Nazis have had more favourable coverage than Trump gets in tomorrow’s paper. Wow.

To complete the set. Here are the front pages of the rest of the main UK papers tomorrow (Tuesday). “Trump accused of siding with Russia”. “US leader living in ‘bubble’”
comment in response to post
This front page deserves a special mention. Trump is becoming both a pariah and a laughing stock in the UK.

This is incredibly smart and effective from Zelenskyy. Not engaging in Trump’s verbal slurry. Instead, after Keir Starmer called to pledge his support, Zelenskyy speaks to Emmanuel Macron and a Republican Senator. He is diplomatically making Trump look severely isolated and, well, mad.

The UK/US “special relationship” - or what was left of it - is being fed into the wood chipper. What a colossal collapse in the US’s international standing in less than 4 weeks. Will be difficult to recover from, even when Trump is dead. And will be difficult for allies to forget & forgive.

Yes, that post has a UK time stamp (EST +5). Here is the US timestamp.
