I know what you're thinking: "But the magic of my enemies is weak, and their gods are hollow idols!" But what if I told you... that your enemies are thinking the same thing... about YOUR magic, and YOUR gods? And here's what's gonna make the difference: your enemies aren't in this seminar right now.

if banging your head into a cupboard all day had a 0.1% chance per bang that you would make someone laugh on the other side of the planet, it would have about the same effort-to-reward ratio as solo game development, and a significantly better one than writing novels

i have a bug to repo- oh

stick with the prod. prod with the prod

My community management philosophy

When I was in primary school, I ran a school fete table where I set up my Amstrad cpc464 and just let kids play Gryzor (Contra) for 20p a life. My stall made more money than any other, and thus my videogame career started.

Steel Battalion (2002)

is this anything news.microsoft.com/source/featu...

Amazing that this all came true.

When humans fetishize reasoning and rationality blindly over feeling or intuition, I worry about humans. Often that attributed to "irrationality" is highly reasoned with carefully invented justifications to excuse the creation of misery. The only way to recognize misery is to have felt it.

Working on terrain heightmaps (again) and accidentally created....... fur?

god intervened and now i'm even more annoyed. nothing changed. what's your problem

The microsoft genAI gameplay thing - even if genAI was cool and we liked it, trying to understand a game from video footage and controller inputs is so pointless and wrong-footed that hearing about microsoft engineers pursuing it makes me feel like I'm going mad www.theverge.com/news/615048/...

my experience since OVRLRD came out:

'There's some things a machine just can't do' #art #fanart #wallacegromit

www.youtube.com/watch?v=wo-x... impeccable vibes from this 80s dutch police training video about the motorola MDT-9100 terminal

NEW TV SHOW.... "COMMON SIDE EFFECTS".... DO NOT SLEEP ON IT.... MY FINAL MESSAGE, GOODBYE

one of my favourite things about blusky is starter packs. sitting here like "things seem quiet" then with one click i can just blast my feed into oblivion

the spicy bit of gamedev where you've given up trying to figure out why it isn't working and you just run it again and again hoping God will intervene

I've spent hundreds of hours trying to prove to people that VR is cool and fun and meta won't stop orbital striking it

For reference: Procedural generation is shuffling a deck and dealing from it. genAI is feeding every card deck you can find, including ones not for the game, into a wood chipper, slapping a handful of the bits on some glue, and pretending its a playable hand.

viktor antonov basically changed the direction of an entire field of art and the fact that his death isn't front page news is a travesty

Been sketching some mech's daily :)

I made a silly little video for our game! I made the whole thing in engine and even did a silly voice over 😅 What do you think?

My Dell Dimension has been properly BEEFed (Decals made by @batarong.com)

Jean Reno is game. It's in your hands now, Capcom.

A lonely old man urged me to put a few points into charisma, to not make the same mistake he did. Something about the way he said it annoyed me, though, so I ignored him.

Frankly, my dear... Frankly. Frankly! Come back Frankly, I love you! I'll stop doing the Clark Gable bit I promise! Damn. She's gone. Like the wind
