Super interesting. I was talking about expertise yesterday with some folks. This seems related: it takes a long attention span to follow stuff like this; today’s bite size news bullshit demands instant status: so if it’s not working it must have failed. But we all know that’s not true.

Dependency on Starlink casually weaponized by US administration. Conclusions for Europe and anyone else in orbit of former US-led alliance should be crystal clear. www.reuters.com/business/us-...

Well, the ants aren’t going to like that #GNUTerryPratchett

In future generations, when your children and grandchildren look back on this moment, they are not going to ask about the price of eggs. They are going to ask you what you did. Not what you felt. Not what you paid. But what you did. And I want to be able to say I did everything I possibly could.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I killed my Patreon, moved it to a membership system for my online store (pepperraccoon.com), and instead of losing my patrons, everyone came over. I’ve replicated, if not exceeded, the patronage from Patreon, with fewer fees and restrictions. In one month.

internet edgelords only held back in their ripping the copper out of the walls of government by antiquated programming languages it's a real 4chan vs Fortran situation

A James Bond TV show for a streaming service in 2025 is gonna be insufferable. Just 10 episodes of a guy that doesn't call himself either James Bond or 007 yet and then in the final episode, he orders a martini, shaken not stirred, and we all politely clap and Season 2 takes 5 years to come out

This is really excellent

This is just to say I have fired the bureaucrats throughout your government Even the ones that were probably keeping planes in the air Forgive me I am not very smart So efficiency Much savings

Microsoft's big quantum gamble pays off: they were harder to build (and about as hard to understand!) but Microsoft's topological qubits are more effective, easier to control - and will probably help design their own replacements.

There’s gonna be so many variations on this theme over the next three years and eleven months. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

This is maybe my proudest ever "tweet that immediately earned a block"

I really throught we beat all the web3 boosters back, I guess they just don't run around boosting on blueksy - and of course the VCs behind all this now have a US government that's down for all this nonsense

I just watched a German Green politician on the news talk about how it would be ridiculous of the US to do an Ukraine deal and expect Europe to pay for it. “This is not serious” she said. So clearly, she still doesn’t get it.
