Super interesting. I was talking about expertise yesterday with some folks. This seems related: it takes a long attention span to follow stuff like this; today’s bite size news bullshit demands instant status: so if it’s not working it must have failed. But we all know that’s not true.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I killed my Patreon, moved it to a membership system for my online store (pepperraccoon.com), and instead of losing my patrons, everyone came over. I’ve replicated, if not exceeded, the patronage from Patreon, with fewer fees and restrictions. In one month.

I just watched a German Green politician on the news talk about how it would be ridiculous of the US to do an Ukraine deal and expect Europe to pay for it. “This is not serious” she said. So clearly, she still doesn’t get it.
