I was born in Australia, and in 35 years I have never even heard of these islands until this whole tariff situation. I am also willing to bet the overwhelming majority of Australians haven't either.

This is a good litmus test to see if someone has TDS or not. Do you honestly believe:
A. Trump and the people around him had a serious conversation about putting tariffs on an uninhabited island.
or
B. The Trump administration just put a tariff on Australia and all its territories.
