The big stumbling block is always guaranteed money. The Brown family could and should invest in the Burrow era, agreed, but there are definitely many worse run teams. The Saints appear to have their chickens coming home to roost, for example.

Critically, the military bases are voluntarily given. I see no problem with questioning the motives and strategy of US actions but I don't think there's any arguing that the last 70 years would have been far more violent if US hegemony hadn't been present.
