Perhaps you should prep less
Do you really need a detailed map?
Same with Lore just have some ideas you'll explore.
The things that actually matter are situations and moments you want to see play out. Put your players in moral dilemmas.

You've assumed that the report the team made is equal to the report you could make on your own
Also in your example you've set up that you're doing all the work, as if the team doesn't contribute at all
You're free to continue to use this conservative logic, I'm not going to argue with you

They have undeveloped skills so it feels like more effort
When it was work that was done it was just invisible to them

Under your thesis cooperation requires more energy?
I don't see how that could possibly be true. It's not true of any other human activity
Couldn't it be more likely that for the people who have ever only passively played THEY underestimate how much effort goes into coordinating the work

It makes sense to have the basic trade dress for the game on the thing that most players of that game are going to interact with
If the game is trying to invoke a Baroque style I'd expect a decorative character sheet

Printing is why things need to be scheduled months in advance
They need to print convention schedules to be handed at the Con. Signup sheets also need to be printed
They also need to time for the staff to review each game

This depends upon the campaign frame.
Personally I don't have a preference. I do think it's important to not play the same type all the time.

What is it that you need help with?
Turning notes into a PDF isn't hard. You can use google docs, just remember to use headers so you get an outline

I know it's not original, but I love the idea that, Wi-Fi has been completely compromised by evil AI
I've been filling my notes with little inconveniences that brings.
Like: remote weather stations only broadcasting radio updates on the hour. There isn't any way of remote Diagnostics

Have you read Magical Industrial Revolution?
It has a scenario where too many pocket Dimensions becomes a magical apocalypse.

I was hoping to use submodel origins for submodel to blender bones
But it's just too much work in Bricklink
It's faster work in Blender
comment in response to

Hidden under preferences → appearance is an option to show the scenes origin.
Which is kinda useful when centering your main model

Ideally the copy and mirror command also wouldn't reset a submodel's origin to center of mass.

You're paid so little because as a percentage of the company's income your boss takes more than he did 40 years ago.
It has nothing to do with how much people are willing to pay for an item.
To put it another way, your take of revenue from each sale keeps getting reduced.

If a major theme of your game is dealing with the hand you're dealt. Having cards that dictate that you will fail is powerful
The one thing I'd do is not dictate what task they fail. Task resolution systems are boring
The cards dictate there is a threat to their goals they're unable to overcome

I'd much rather use screenshots from video games
If I use screenshots from Dark Souls and my players have played that Dark Souls, their the feelings they had while playing will be invoked, in their head they will be putting themselves in the game

I can understand using genAI for NPC faces. We're hardwired to want to talk to a face
But…
For background art, people are very quickly going to be able to see the prompt that you used.
It's a magic trick that only works on people who don't understand the trick

This all is very Troika! #TTRPG coded.
If I get gas from eating a god is that a sign?
🤔 That's a neat campaign frame, OSR Knave characters stumble into a Troika world

You should read the Campaign Frames
This is where DH goes from being another generic fantasy Heartbreaker to its own thing
They should have included another campaign frame in the SRD to highlight how these change the game
I really like The Age of Umbra. It's inspired by Dark Souls

It's rather complicated I don't really see a point. Other then they wanted to roll big numbers
But not have huge HP pools
I'm holding off judgment till I get to play it.

I'm not enthusiastic about those classes either.
It's probably not a coincidence that every Vox Machina character's class is represented.
Dis/Adv is fine compared to what's going on with Armor thresholds and HP.

It had to have lots of d&disms because it's trying to entice disillusioned D&D players who could care less about tactical positioning in combat, which is basically everyone who isn't a wargamer

I can't see any mechanics that aren't part of their dice engine
I agree on paper it sounds fiddly, there are a lot of moving parts
But fear is just a narrative pacing tool, it signals to the players Badness is coming
It's clearly a game designed with VTTs in mind but not so much that its required

It has some great writing
My only two complaints are
Lighting is wonky on my steam deck. One level is playable but bad
I wish it had a loadout system. That would make experimenting with builds easier
Maybe mods fix those issues 🤔 not sure I have time to get Nexus working on my steam deck

Check out Daggerhearts Cliffside Ascent environment in their SRD
It's an excellent example of narrative level design. Only thing I'd add is time pressure for why the PCs need to climb
I feel that battle grids are holding you back Unless you're GMing a tactical combat video game

I think most Americans have been so traumatized by our lack of any safety net that we cling to what little we have
It's a learned response
