too many people see video games as products and not as culture everyone would appreciate games more if they followed who is creating them instead of only following IPs real life “lore” is infinitely more interesting than fictional lore and it also helps you better understand the fictional lore too

Hey #gamedev! I'm trying to make an exhaustive list (maybe Steam Curator page?) of PSX-style horror games on Steam that are worth the time. Do you have any recommendations? Recently played No One Lives Under the Lighthouse and Sorry We're Closed and I'm afraid I need more of that.

Last few years internet search (and especially Google) have become unusable due to the infestations of SEO garbage tactics and AI. All I am now asking is for a search with block / blacklist button. Maybe a human layer of verification on the listed websites also would be cool.

I’m literally dropping every other social for BlueSky. All I ever wanted was the ability to have themed feeds. When I want to see art, I see art. When I want to see gamedev content I want to see gamedev. So. Fucking. Simple. No more hate, AI trash or engagement farming.

People often ask what’s the problem with Epic; It’s the fundamentally unethical approaches to anything gamedev.

A while ago I tried making a cross platform minimal 4X game heavily inspired by Polytopia & Civilization. I'll soon be focusing on adding diplomacy and reworking the visuals, but I'm a bit lost. Please check it out and tell me your thoughts / ideas! #gamedev #gameart nickpreveza.itch.io/project-4x

@ozone.birb.house can I have a game dev tag please?

As a recent graduate in #gamedev, this is how it feels like. Recently was declined after 3 months of multiple rounds for a dream position and I'm spiralling since.

Hello BlueSky! For my first #screenshotsaturday and I wanted to show you my thesis project: Museum.exe. Equal parts virtual exhibition and FPS puzzler, focusing on 2010 - 2020. Maybe you can find your next game here? #gamedev nickpreveza.itch.io/museum
